Hi. I'm Amanda!
I'm an ultrarunner, a yogi and a health nerd.
I love helping folks achieve big goals while strengthening their mind and body. I believe that small, daily habits lead to big changes over time. My training and nutrition plans are made to be achievable and fit into your life.
I've been coaching runners since 2017 and teaching fitness since 2012. In addition to my run coaching and personal training, I offer nutrition coaching as well as assisted stretching, yoga and meditation. You can choose one modality or mix and match.
Each session is tailored and adapted to meet your unique needs. We will work on what is most important to you, whether that is a physical goal like running a big race or mastering handstands, a nutrition or body composition goal, or a more subtle goal like improved mindfulness or stress reduction.
I am certified as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), Personal Trainer (NASM CPT). Nutritionist (NASM CNC), Stretch and Flexibility Coach (NASM SFC), Running Coach (RRCA) and 80/20 Endurance Coach.
I offer private yoga and assisted stretching sessions in Broomfield, Westminster, Erie, Thornton and Boulder, Colorado. I am happy to travel anywhere within a 30 minute radius of Broomfield.
For all new clients, I offer a 60-minute private taster session at a reduced price. This gives both of us a chance to see how we feel about working together.
You can choose if you would like to focus on assisted stretching, yoga, meditation, or a mix of all three.
What is Assisted Stretching?
Assisted Stretching is sometimes described as a mix between yoga and massage, although it has key differences.
During an assisted stretching session, I will physically guide your body through different stretches. It is performed on a low massage table and is generally considered more relaxing than a typical self-stretching session.
I use a scientifically-backed PNF stretching technique, where we alternate passive stretching and active engagement of the muscles. By taking a few seconds to actively engage and release specific muscles in the middle of a stretch, your body relaxes more than it would if you held it passively.
In a 60-minute session, we typically perform 2 PNF cycles per muscle group. We will start with the bigger muscles of your lower body and then work through your core, upper body and finally your neck and shoulders.
Each session is customized to focus on your body and any areas that need extra attention.
Assisted Stretching is an efficient and effective way to increase mobility and flexibility while also reducing stress and improving performance.
What are the benefits of Private Yoga?
With private yoga, I am able to tailor and customize each session to your unique needs in the convenience of your own home. I am intuitive in my approach and adapt my teachings as we go. Our bodies can vary so much from day to day, and private yoga allows us to tune into what feels right and matches your energy level on any given day.
Not only is each session customized, but private yoga also allows us to set larger goals and work to achieve them over a series of weeks or months.
Whether you're new to yoga or wanting to deepen an advanced practice, private yoga lets us focus on you.
Can I bring a friend to my private yoga session?
Absolutely! You can always invite one friend or partner to your private yoga sessions at no additional cost. It can be a great way to connect and spend time with people you love.
